Reuben (my grandpa) was the most gentle, sensitive, loving man I have ever known. His love for family and God were apparent.
He served in the army in WWI.
He owned a store in Idaho before returning to Walnut Grove, MN and farmed for many years where he raised his family.
He was one of the first patients to get a new heart valve at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. It was successful for many years until he had a fatal heart attack in 1977 at the age of 86.
